Electronics Design Engineer - Aerospace

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electronics Lead to provide technical direction on advanced aerospace control systems. This position is based in Solihull and offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of electronics development for flight-critical applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Validate and manage system and hardware requirements.
• Define and author test strategies and test procedures.
• Lead design reviews and ensure designs progress towards certification and approvals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to electronics teams.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as DO-254, DO-178, ARP4754.
• Deliver solutions on aerospace control systems such as Electronic Engine Controllers (EECs), Engine Monitoring Units (EMUs), Power Converters, and Power Supply Units.

Qualifications

About You

• 10–15 years’ experience in electronics engineering, ideally within aerospace/avionics.
• Strong background in requirements validation, verification, and test strategy development.
• Skilled in safety-critical design and certification standards.
• Experience with power electronics, avionics controllers, and propulsion system electronics.
• Confident leader with the ability to guide and mentor multi-disciplinary teams.
