Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

What will you be doing? 

Join our high-impact engineering team in Derby as an Electrical Design Engineer, where you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for cutting-edge projects in the Nuclear sector.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Managing Electrical load schedules and designing modular HV and LV distribution systems.
• Designing earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Developing Electrical Power System Models.
• Completing the design of the Electrical Systems Architecture, sub-system design and equipment specification and design.

Who are we looking for? 

• Electrical Engineers to play crucial role in our mission that is familiar across the Electrical System Lifecyle. This is a design role (not suitable for commissioning, maintenance etc background)
• Engineers familiar with the industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Experience, skills and qualifications required:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in electronic & electrical engineering or electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design within the energy sector.
• Proficient in relevant design and simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, Navisworks).
• Knowledge of grid codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
