Original Job Description

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

Lightspeed is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our in-house Brand & Creative team where you will serve as a creative and strategic contributor, playing a central role in shaping and evolving our global visual identity. This position is more than execution—it's about elevating the brand through concept-driven, performance-informed creative that resonates across touch points and markets.

Reporting to the Lead Art Director, Brand, you will lead and contribute to multi-channel creative initiatives that span campaigns, product marketing, sales enablement, internal comms, and more. You’ll partner with marketers, writers, and fellow designers to bring our brand to life in ways that are bold, relevant, and high impact.

This role is ideal for a designer who combines strong conceptual thinking with sharp production skills, and who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. You’ll bring not only creativity but also strategic insight, helping to evolve Lightspeed’s brand voice as we grow into new markets and expand our leadership in the commerce space.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and execute cross-platform design projects—from pitch to production—while ensuring creative excellence and brand consistency across channels and markets.
  • Conceptualize and pitch new ideas that solve business challenges creatively, especially across product marketing, campaigns, and sales support initiatives.
  • Act as a brand guardian, upholding and evolving the visual identity in collaboration with art directors and brand leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing managers, content writers, product marketers) to translate strategic objectives into effective visual communication.
  • Design, adapt, and produce high-quality digital and print assets including campaigns, presentations, internal communications, landing pages, social media assets, and sales tools.
  • Deliver pixel-perfect design outputs while also contributing to broader creative decisions (layout, tone, visual storytelling, motion, interactivity).
  • Stay current on trends and technologies to help continuously push the brand forward in terms of both style and execution.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior designers, acting as a creative resource and quality check within the team.
  • Own and manage projects independently while collaborating with project managers to meet timelines and optimize workflows.

What you need to bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in multidisciplinary design roles, with a strong emphasis on digital-first, brand-building creative work.
  • A portfolio that reflects not only technical execution but also creative problem-solving, storytelling, and concept development.
  • Proven ability to balance creativity and performance, ensuring that beautiful design also delivers business impact.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma—with the versatility to adapt designs across formats and platforms.
  • A collaborative, “yes-and” mindset, with a love for ideating and building with others.
  • An exceptional eye for detail, and the drive to push work from “good” to “great.”
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills—you manage your own deadlines, thrive under pressure, and know how to prioritize.
  • Comfort working independently with minimal guidance—you take ownership and drive work forward proactively.
  • Strong spoken and written English proficiency; experience working in multicultural and cross-functional teams is a plus.
  • Passion for creativity, branding, and the evolving design landscape—you stay up to date and bring new inspiration to the table.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience working in the retail or hospitality industry
  • Fluency in French
